Polypropylene (PP) honeycomb is a strong but lightweight material that provides efficient and optimum mechanical performance in sandwich panel structures.

ThermHex Waben GmbH manufactures a broad range of core products with a standard density of 80 kilogram per cubic meter (5.0 Lbs / ft³). For less demanding applications a reduced density core is available with a density of 60 kilogram per cubic meter.

Core thickness ranges from 3 to 30 mm with cell sizes varying from 3 to 9.6 mm.

Standard core thicknesses include:
8, 10, 15, 20 and 28 mm.

Our products are produced from a single Polypropylene film in a continuous thermoforming, folding and bonding process. In-line the non-woven layers and barrier films are laminated onto the core.

Compared with other material in the market, ThermHex PP cores deliver exceptional surface quality in sandwich components, even when very thin skin materials are applied.

Standard panel sizes are 2,500mm length x 1,200mm width.

Special sizes can be produced on request, while the maximum panel size is 6,000mm length x 1,400mm width.
